his course will introduce the basic principles of United States healthcare policy and law. The strengths and challenges that underpin the healthcare and public health systems will be examined. Exploration will occur of how healthcare professionals practice within the context of policies and U.S. laws. Public and private healthcare payment structures in the United States and selected international systems will be analyzed allowing students to apply higher level inquiry skills. Students will learn to think systematically about issues and the various methods available to public and private policymakers to solve them. 100% Online Seats Primarily Reserved for Adult Education Students
